Nice Restaurants

Nice is filled with tourists, especially during the high season, but never fear: you can still find a few places to get a great meal in this capital of the Riviera.

Lou Nissart

This restaurant can be found in the tourist hub of Old Nice, but don?t let its setting deter you: while many of the restaurants in this area are tourist traps, Lou Nissart is one of few exceptions. This restaurant serves food that is obviously influenced by nearby Italy: ravioli and gnocchi are some of the stars of the menu, served with the Riviera twist of fresh, local seafood.

Flo

Seafood fans, look no further than Flo: this restaurant serves seafood prepared in a variety of ways, from simple preparations like roasting and grilling to homemade ravioli. Be sure to try the shellfish: it?s the house specialty. An added bonus is the unique location inside a former theater; you can discover some of the old structure, purposefully left partially intact, while dining.

Le Comptoir

Nice?s status as a tourist capital in the south as well as its location near the border with Italy means that most restaurants here are either classically French or Italian, but Nice has a cuisine all its own that is celebrated in this Art Deco-style restaurant. Nuances of the combination between the cuisines of northern Italy and the Provence region are apparent in every dish. Seafood is all over the menu here, but even those who are not fans of fish or shellfish are sure to find something incredible.

Au Rendez-Vous des Amis

A bit further afield than some other restaurant choices, Au Rendez-Vous des Amis is still worth a visit. Its setting places you in the hills of the French countryside, where you can dine al fresco on local specialties like homemade ravioli. Be sure to visit this remarkable restaurant in the spring or summer, when you can take full advantage of both its setting and the local seasonal specialties.
