Nice's location makes it the perfect spot to stay while traveling around the Riviera: not only is it close to most everything with a central train station, but Nice also offers some of the best nightlife on the Riviera - indeed, people staying in other towns dotting the coastline often come to Nice for a "nuit blanche", literally, a white night, meaning an all-night party.
Wayne's
Probably the best-known bar in Nice, Wayne's is a necessary stop for anyone spending some time in the city, and especially for English-speakers. This bar draws from all groups, but the live-music pubby atmosphere will make Anglophones feel especially at home. Wayne's is also in a great area for wandering around - many people come here for a few drinks before pub crawling in the neighborhood, or else end up for a last drink at Wayne's before heading home.

MacMahon's
Irish pubs are thick on the ground in Nice (as well as throughout the Riviera), but MacMahon's is not just another pub. This bar is extremely popular amongst locals and English-speaking visitors, not only for its relatively cheap drinks, but for its atmosphere, nearly-nightly entertainment (theme nights, bands, etc.) and good music. In addition, the pub sometimes screens movies on a big screen, which is always a good option for those looking for a low-key night out.
Akathor Pub
This unique, Scandinavian-style bar receives consistently good reviews from those who visit it. With live music most nights and space for sitting as well as dancing, it has a great atmosphere for those looking for something less expensive than a club with a similar party atmosphere and good crowds.
Blue Boy Enterprise
For a night of dancing, look no further than Blue Boy, one of the oldest clubs in Nice that offers something for everyone - gay and straight groups flock here for music, dancing and drinks. This club has the added bonus of being opened quite late, so many people choose to end up here after a few drinks at one of the more low-key bars. The music here is varied - a mix of popular top 40s and electronica dance music to offer something for everyone. Stop by for a schedule of their theme nights as well, which are always fun and draw big crowds.
